CQ (CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE)

Based on the class discussion on cultural intelligence,do you think that you have CQ(cultural intelligence). Give reasons.

Culture in general is concerned with beliefs and values on the basis of which people interpret experiences and behave, individually and in groups. Broadly and simply put, "culture" refers to a group or community with which you share common experiences that shape the way you understand the world.

I think i have cultural intelligence (CQ)through continuous learning and understanding of diverse cultural heritage, wisdom and values, and to deal effectively with people from different cultural background and understanding.

I have CQ about China because i understanding of their cultural background, art, music, beliefs, languages, sports, and the most important is we has same day of celebration for example Chinese New Year,Mooncake Festival and the others. Firstly, the cultural background i know from learning, media(TV, News Paper, Radio) and also my ancestor because they come from China. History China is very interesting part. The recorded history of China began fom many dynasty and the culture has downgraded generic yet such as painting in China is a higher art for example the religious texts (mainly Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist) were handwritten by ink brush. The religion in China include confucianism and taoism or the Buddhism and Christianity. We can see the all religion developed by peace in China.

Beside that, most languages in China is Mandarin and communicate with each others. This language has brought influence large in this world and become a famous languages. There are also many traditional sports for example Chinese dragon boat racing occurs during the Duan Wu festival, Tai Chi Chuan, qigong, and the Chinese Dragon is a symbol to bring good luck to we all. The most important festival in China is Chinese New Year. It is important celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese include malaysia. The festival traditionally begins on the first day in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th, during the festival they celebrate with their relative and hoping in the year can live in more peace and happy. Finally, the cultural of China is very interesting, still remain until currently and have variety of custom to expand our knowledge.
